Google Analytics
Connect GA4 to ask about website traffic, conversions, user behavior, and real-time visitors.
What do I need before connecting?
- A Google Analytics 4 property (Universal Analytics is not supported)
- The Google Analytics Data API enabled in your Google Cloud project — enable it here
- A Google account with at least Viewer access to the GA4 property
How do I connect?
- Go to Integrations
- Click Connect on the Google Analytics card
- Sign in with your Google account and approve read-only access
- If you have multiple GA4 properties, pick the one you want
- If Novica can't detect your properties, enter the Property ID manually (find it in GA4 → Admin → Property Settings, or in the URL after
/p/)
What can I ask once GA4 is connected?
- How many visitors did I get this week?
- Where is most of my traffic coming from?
- What are my top landing pages by conversion rate?
- Show me traffic this week vs last week
- What's my bounce rate on the homepage?
- How many people are on my site right now?
- Show me mobile vs desktop breakdown
- What countries are my visitors from?
I'm getting "Access denied" or "API not enabled"
Novica says "no properties found" after connecting
- The Google account you signed in with needs at least Viewer access to the GA4 property
- Check: GA4 → Admin → Account Access Management → make sure your email is listed
- If you still don't see properties, you can enter the Property ID manually — it's the number in your GA4 URL after
/p/
My data looks wrong or is missing recent activity
- GA4 has a processing delay of 24-48 hours for standard reports
- For recent data, try asking for real-time data:
How many people are on my site right now?
- Real-time reports are instant; historical reports may lag
Does Novica have write access to my analytics?
No. Novica has read-only access. It can query your reports but can't modify any settings, goals, or property configuration.
